My Artwork, My Life
Nature inspires and motivates me to explore forms that I find intriguing. My sculptures are ambiguous, abstract and organic. Biomorphic in character, they represent the building blocks of life. Some contributing elements are from living things, and the process of cell division. These cellular forms can have completely geometric lines or more abstract sinuous curves.
Many of the forms interact with one another and create a dialogue of their own. This dialogue explores the dichotomy of internal and external balance within life. I like to explore both the negative and positive spaces as well as the shadows that are created by the forms. My goal is to produce sculptures that have infinite possibilities and associations where the viewer is able to place their own meaning to them.
